It is difficult, if not impossible, to communicate the complexity of Pastor Megan’s health battle via text or notification. So, I hope I can get everyone up to date here. I’ve asked permission from Pastor Megan and Matt if it was alright to share some information. I wanted to show you the roller coaster ride they have been on, which I hope helps direct your prayers and intercessions.
All in all, Pastor Megan is fighting postpartum complications, an infection, and a new kidney issue.

12/21? Released from hospital
12/26 Rushed to Kokomo Hospital (where she had delivery), emergency surgery performed
12/27 Begins blood transfusions
12/28 Feeling better, but infection is found, blood pressure and hemoglobin low
12/29 Out of ICU, gets to see her girls, continue to give her blood
12/30-1? Released from hospital
1/1 Rushed to ER again
1/2 Scan reveals inflamed kidney which could become serious issue, undergoes surgery, investigation shows internal damage from previous surgery

On the peripheral, the Cox family has not been able to enjoy Christmas or New Year. Pastor Megan’s family have driven up from Tennessee 4-5 times. Pastor Megan has been apart from little Savannah, more than with her. Matt is doing everything he can to stay off of work.
“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” Galatians 6:2
We will be working on some collective ways to be there for the Cox family, including meals and financial help. For now, though, the most important thing you can do is pray.
If you need help, you can pray this prayer out loud, knowing the Father hears you (Matthew 7:11, 1 John 5:14)
Father in Heaven, Thank You for creating us from the dust and breathing into us the breath of life. As we think about the roller coaster Pastor Megan and her family are on, we feel the weight of the brokenness of this world, caused by our sin. However, we also rejoice that Jesus Christ our Savior has come not only to save us from final judgment, but to bring His Kingdom here on Earth as it is in Heaven. And so, Our Lord Jesus Christ, please heal Pastor Megan’s body. Make right, what is wrong. Make healthy, what is sick. Make whole, what is broken. Holy Spirit, You have worked miracles in the past and you work them in the present. Please, by Your holy power and great compassion, as a testimony to others, heal our Sister in Christ, Megan. Give the doctors Your divine insight and wisdom, as well as compassion and care. We ask for answers. We ask for strength to endure. We as that You be in the details . Use us, Your Body, as You will, to carry this burden with the Cox family. And may the blessing of Almighty God “keep them in perfect peace as as they trust in you” (Isaiah 26:3) Amen.
